The W 126 model of the S-Class Mercedes debuted in 1979 and was in continuous production through the 1991 model year.
My car is a 1990 and was a one-owner car for 34 years prior to my purchase in 2024. It has only 16,000 miles since new and was meticulously maintained by its owner, a well-respected San Francisco orthopedic surgeon.
The W 126 was designed by Bruno Sacco, the same team leader for the design of my 1989 560SL. Both cars were then and are now revered for their styling and the quality of their engines. Both enjoyed especially long production runs as a result.
